I remember when I told myself, one day, there'll be a semi realism digital painting art in my gallery. And to think that 'that day' is 'today' is quite giving me great shock. Haha...
I've been waiting for this day to come since I started my job as a pro illustrator. Thinking that, perhaps, next year I'll be learning semi realism digital painting. But somewhat it went on for 7 years and still I didn't get anywhere near.
It's amazing how your work environment can change yourself so much. When I decided to quit my previous job and leaving my comfort zone to enter the unknown zone, I prepared myself for something more 'dangerous' than I've had before. Indeed, I was shocked when I was being forced to do digital painting for all the illustrations at work. I also almost got fired if I couldn't level up my skill. Which fortunately, I somehow managed to get through.
I was a slow learner at first. At my age now, I'm like an old dog learning new tricks. But the seniors at work are very patient teaching me things I never knew before. They never get tired of me who always asking their opinions and advises.
Working with seniors with godlike skill made my feet trembled so hard at first. I was almost fainted when I saw their awesome works and thought "Can I do something like that?"
With a lot of effort and never ending practice and a very kind and patient seniors at work, in these 5 months, I manage to level up a LOT more than I've had in 7 years in my old workplace. And I can't thank enough to the seniors and co-workers in my office who help me with my skill improvement.
I seriously crying out of excitement when I manage to go to the level which I never thought I can get. And i owe ~kokecit
a great gratitude for helping me get through the obstacles and improving my skills with his advises. I really can't thank him enough for this, and yet, I still have a hell lot more things to learn. ^^
